MiniGolfHQ ("we," "us," or "our") operates the MiniGolfHQ web application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

Players: When you use MiniGolfHQ to score a game, we collect the player names you enter and the scores recorded during your game. We do not require account creation, login, or any personal identification for players.

Course Owners: When you sign up your course, we collect your name, email address, course name, and location. We also collect payment information through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

Contact Form: If you contact us through our website, we collect the information you provide (name, email, course name, location).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the scoring service; process course subscriptions and payments; communicate with course owners about their accounts; send onboarding instructions and QR codes; respond to support requests; and improve our services.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with encryption at rest and in transit. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Stripe for payment processing; Supabase for database and real-time services; Vercel for web hosting; and Resend for transactional emails. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

6. Cookies & Tracking

MiniGolfHQ uses minimal cookies necessary for the application to function. We use localStorage to store player preferences (such as ad-free status). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that follow you across the web.

7. Advertising

Free players may see advertisements within the app. Ad providers may collect anonymous usage data. You can remove all advertisements by purchasing the "No Ads" upgrade.

8. Children's Privacy

MiniGolfHQ is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Player names entered during games are not verified against any identity and may be nicknames or first names only.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to: request access to your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; and opt out of marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify course owners of significant changes via email. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
